Project Manager


We are seeking to hire a seasoned Project Manager with Ellucian Colleague experience to join BHA Technologies’ extraordinary team.  Our project managers work in a team environment and rely on colleagues to assist in creating the client experience a success.  Additionally, our Project Managers must be willing to provide support to their teammates in a variety of ways, including functional support, mentoring, technical support, and problem-solving.  Project Managers should be able to work with a variety of different types of educators at differing institutions – public 4-year, private, and community colleges.

Responsibilities for Project Manager

  • Determine and define project scope and objectives
  • Predict resources needed to reach objectives and manage resources in an effective and efficient manner
  • Prepare budget based on scope of work and resource requirements
  • Track project costs to meet budget
  • Develop and manage a detailed project schedule and work plan
  • Provide project updates on a consistent basis to various stakeholders about strategy, adjustments, and progress
  • Manage contracts with vendors and suppliers by assigning tasks and communicating expected deliverables
  • Utilize industry best practices, techniques, and standards throughout the entire project execution
  • Monitor progress and adjust as needed
  • Measure project performance to identify areas for improvement
  • Maintain a positive relationship with the client, vendors, and other interested parties



  • 2+ years of project management experience including managing projects from start to finish as the project lead, preferably in higher education.  Optional: PMP certified, (provide examples of completed project lead experience)
  • Recently worked with Ellucian Colleague software for a minimum of 2-3 years
  • Proactive verbal and written communication skills, including good, active listening skills.
  • Basic knowledge of Colleague technical
  • Having the discipline and general management skills to make sure that people follow the standard processes and procedures 
  • Establishing leadership skills to get the team to willingly follow your direction. Leadership is about communicating a vision and getting the team to accept it and strive to get there with you. 
  • Setting reasonable, challenging, and clear expectations for people, and holding them accountable for meeting the expectations. This includes providing good performance feedback to team members 
  • Team building skills so that the people work together well and feel motivated to work hard for the sake of the project and their other team members. The larger your team and the longer the project, the more important it is to have good team-building skills. 
  • Communicate project status to project sponsors, all team members, and other relevant stakeholders and involved parties. 
  • Identify, negotiate, and resolve issues as they arise across areas of the project and where they impact other activities, systems, and projects
  • Have experience with the following: 
  • Develop a Project Plan
  • Develop a Communication Plan
  • Develop an Issues Management & Change Request Control process
  • Develop policies and procedures related to new or changing processes
  • Manage the overall schedule to ensure work is assigned and completed on time and within budget.
  • Identify, manage and mitigate project risk
  • Write a variety of different reports as needed

Preferred Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) or relevant experience
  • PMP certified 
  • Consulting experience
  • Familiarity with Smartsheet or other project collaboration tools
  • Advanced knowledge of Colleague technical
  • Advanced knowledge of Colleague functional modules
